Pet First Aid & CPR

If your pet has a medical emergency will you be prepared? This course, taught by an American Red Cross certified instructor, will cover Pet First Aid and CPR techniques. The emphasis will be on cats and dogs. Cat and dog manikins will be used. Please do not bring your pet to class. The course length is 4 hours. The course fee of $40 includes all course materials.

To pre-register call Tammie Bouschor at (312) 644-8338 ext. 344. Payment must be made with in two weeks after the date of pre-registration. All classes will be held in The Anti-Cruelty Society Education and Training Center located at 169 W. Grand Avenue. Free Parking is available in The Anti-Cruelty Society parking garage. Enter from Wells Street.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be received at least one week prior to the scheduled class date to receive a full refund. No shows without prior notice will not be refunded.

Introduction to Canine Massage

This class is FULL.

Pet Massage Therapist, Pam Kuhn, will explain the health benefits of pet massage and demonstrate some of the techniques used. The emphasis will be on canine massage. Participants will be allowed to bring their dogs to this class. Following the demonstration, participants will practice beginning techniques on their dogs with assistance from the instructor. Dogs should be current on vaccinations and sociable with other dogs in order to participate. Pre-registration is required. There is a 20 dog/handler limit for this class.

The Anti-Cruelty Society presents the Winter 2007/2008 Lecture Series. Lecture Series events are free of charge. Are you tired of seeing roaming cats and kittens everywhere in your neighborhood? Do you want to find out how you can help them and stop future generations from being born in your community? Join representatives from Alley Cat Allies and Tree House Animal Foundation for a short workshop on how to educate your neighbors, create a safety-net for the cats and stop the cycle of breeding in your neighborhood. The workshop is free of charge.

2007 Fermilab Tornado and Severe Weather Seminar

This year our seminar takes place on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at noon and 6pm.
ALL WEATHER ENTHUSIASTS ARE CORDIALLYL INVITED.

Our 26th annual Fermilab Tornado and Severe Weather Seminar approaches and I want to extend an invitation to you to join us at what promises to be one of our most fascinating seminars ever. It includes our first look at hurricanes on the Fermilab stage—in particular, Hurricane Katrina—and takes place this year on Saturday, April 21—an expecially noteworthy date in this region's severe weather history. As always, the seminars are free and open to all. The program begins at noon and will be repeated, for those who prefer an evening session, at 6 p.m.
