AIGA The Business of Design III
The AIGA Business of Design Series is for design business leaders, creative directors, and senior managers who are invested in the growth of their design business. The sessions also offer value to those who are considering re-tooling or launching their own firm. The series promises discussion about profitable growth, finance, operations, business development, and career management.

"Good Design For Good Reason." It's a great sounding slogan but as the driving force behind everything Firebelly creates, it's an even better feeling when it's achieved. Since 1999 Dawn Hancock, owner and creative director of Firebelly Design Corp., has channeled her design and the talent of her young team towards serving socially conscious causes, companies large and small, non-profit organizations and fund-raising galas. Attendance limited to 25 people.

Incite/Insight is dedicated to how ideas spark the actions that spark ideas. Each year we focus on areas or aspects of design that have made a difference in our society, our culture, our times. Incite/Insight examines what is stimulating, provocative, fresh and new; and provides a launch pad for thought, a forum for discussion and the prompt for even better design.

The publications office at Northwestern University provides writing, editorial, design, and print production services to the University. Each year the office produces more than 300 printed publications, including brochures, booklets, and periodicals, for Northwestern's administration, departments, schools, and centers. The office is also responsible for maintaining the University's identity standards. Attendance limited to 20 people.

AIGA Small Talk III
Submitted by administrator on Tue, 2006-07-18 18:00.An interdisciplinary studio with offices in Chicago and San Francisco, Studio/lab brings together a talented group of creative professionals with backgrounds in design, architecture, fine arts, photography, video production, and software development. The firm has a long history with AIGA. Team members have served on the Chicago Chapter board and Marcia Lausen, founder of the Chicago office, is currently on the national board. Attendance limited to 25 people.

Learning from Legacy will be a new event in 2006. It will balance our Fresh Talent event by inviting a renowned designer to speak in Chicago. The featured speaker will have big name draw, certain to attract a large and diverse crowd of designers.
AIGA Small Talk II

Our mission is to preserve the rich tactility of this centuries-old printing process, while modernizing enough to allow large-scale commercial runs and nearly unlimited design range. AIGA 20/20
Submitted by administrator on Fri, 2006-05-19 01:00.This event will be modeled after the National Conference’s 20/20 Series where 20 designers each get 60 seconds to relay a message (totaling 20 minutes of presentations). We will define a theme and allow a limited number of members to sign up to present. This event will be an excellent opportunity to relax and socialize with members of the community.
